Being a Blessing

In many ways we can be a blessing to others. At times. It may result in us stepping outside of our comfort zone. (I am still in training, however I can almost see the gold)
There have been times when I have spent my last dime, given my last $5.00, and taken away from myself to be a blessing to others.
There was no need for me to be boastful, or brag about my good deeds. Due to the fact that I know where my help comes from. Thus when I am in need, I know that I will never go hungry, I know that when my pockets feel a little light, it's only temporary, when my vision is slightly impaired, there will be a remedy for me to see again, and when I feel that my heart and spirit may be slightly broken, because of life's curve balls. I can always kneel down on my knees, bow my head and pray. And ask the father to help me.
This entry has been influenced by someone that I have known for about 12 years. A great friend of mines that is stepping out on faith to make her contribution to our society. When I got the news I immediately prayed for her and offered her my support. My friend is taking on the responisibility to become a foster parent. She is already a parent of 2 beautiful boys. Yet, she finds more room, to reach out and touch another child's life.
What can you say for people like this in the world? They not only think of just themselves. But live their lives to be a blessing to others.
This task will be a challenge. But God is in control. My fellow readers, I solicit your prayers, and words of encouragement for my friend that I consider my sister. I think it is so awesome when we find it in our spirit and our hearts to consider being a blessing to others.
My passion in life is to seek to be better everyday, pray to God for those around me and then myself, and during the week make my attempts to make a difference somehow. Believe you me, a smile goes a long way.

Sounding off, for now until the next time

Shametra.

Matthew 25:40

The king will answer them, 'I tell you with certainty, since you did it for one of the least important of these brothers of mine, you did it for me

My sister It take a special kind of faith and love to do what you have done.

Be encouraged and know God is smiling down upon you.

Galation 5:6

For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love.

Shametra , may God continue to bless you, as you continue to encourage your friends.

1Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV)

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

You are in our prayers to serve God as he sees fit. I pray everyday, i am one of those that do it and still wonder if i am doing it right. after reading my bible I know that as long as you talk to GOD and pray for others you will always be doing it right. Keep GOD first and foremost and you will be find. God bless you for what you are doing.
