You Butta Believe It
At approximately 10:15a.m. I remember you walking down the aisle. You were radiant and by far the most beautiful bride. All of the sudden a tear fell. I looked at your soon to be Husband and the look on his face was priceless. He was standing there waiting for you. Looking all handsome, for some reason I couldn't stop crying. My friend went from handing me a kleenex to handing me the entire box. What had come over me was a joyous feeling of seeing my momma/friend go before God and take a vow that the two are now becoming one. At 11:20a.m. You were married! You two are by far one of my favorite couples. To see the love that you have for one another blesses my spirit everytime I am in your presence. You even sprinkle a dose of your love in your products. Nytesun is my favorite. You know I call that the "love potion" Happy anniversary Ellerby's! May the Lord continue to bless you with 8 more wonderful years. I love you!

An Event To Remember
When I am working an event my intention is always to satisfy the client and leave with a lasting impression that I've satisfied my obligation by fulfilling my purpose. I had no idea that I would leave grasping for air, wiping tears from my eyes and pondering an idea to make an appointment to get checked again. As I stood on my mark listening and watching the participants of this event. The testimonials tugged on my heart strings as if someone was striking a cord of a note that was unheard of. There were many that stood with the survivors, while photo's were displayed on the screens in the background of the one's that lost their battle with this disease that affects and impacts so many women. "Breast Cancer Resource Center Of Texas" held an event called, "Art Bra Austin" One of the most memorable moments of the night was the fashion show of various bras that were designed so beautifully. The models were survivors of breast cancer. I was compelled to spread the word about, "Breast Cancer Resource Center of Texas" because cancer has affected someone in my life and this event was such an eye opener. We have to continue to raise awareness about breast cancer. I believe it is possible and with your help, that will bring us much closer to finding the resolution and providing more resources. The next event that will take place is the, "Suzy's Soldiers Golf Tournament & Gala, August 10th,2012.Suzy’s Soldiers was formed by Austin resident, Kristin Osler, in loving memory of her mother, Suzanne “Momma” Clarke who lost her six-year battle to breast cancer in 2000.
Suzanne was a passionate philanthropist and Suzy’s Soldiers is following in Suzanne’s footsteps by raising money for a local organization dedicated to supporting breast cancer patients and their families – Breast Cancer Resource Centers of Texas.
Last year’s tournament exceeded its goal and we are grateful for the invaluable support of Longhorn Health Solutions and Suzy’s Soldiers for raising funds and awareness for the services of BCRC! To register for this event go to: www.bcrc.org/events/suzys-soldiers-golf-tournament-gala
BCRC vision is : The purpose of BCRC is to ensure that no one faces breast cancer alone. Through effective patient navigation, BCRC provides support, information and resources to all those affected by breast cancer.

An evening with Ruben Studdard
I was excited to hear that Ruben Studdard was performing in Austin, Texas on May the 7th at One World Theatre. I drive into what appeared to be a castle like venue. Opened the door and I was subdued by the most welcoming and smiling staff that was there to serve. Talk about customer service! I have to rate this spot as ten. You could have sat in row L and still experienced what everyone else was feeling. The show was very intimate. Ruben sung some of the greatest love songs and you know he sang some Luther... My, my, my... Lol. Ruben even did a new song from his new album, " Letters From Birmingham" The "Velvet Teddy Bear" had us snapping our fingers and stomping our feet while he caressed our ears with his melodic tunes. Ruben was smoother than velvet and had jokes for days, he definitely kept us smiling, especially when he begin to talk about how much he loved his Mother. I sent Ruben home with my first book and he in turn blessed me with an autographed copy of his handsome self with the following,
To: Shametra
God Bless you and thanks for the book. How did you know I love to read? Signed: Ruben Studdard.
Ruben is definitely a character... I must say he put on a mighty fine show. Thanks for visiting Austin. I had a great experience.
